Today’s look is already one of my faves of the season! It’s no surprise I love all things OTS and cold-shoulder, but this palm tree print just had to come home with me! I paired it with my favorite shorts from last season in a pretty coral eyelet. These shorts are old BUT Banana Republic has a great version (I might like those better!) That I linked below that are currently on major sale!
This palm print top would of course look amazing with cutoffs, and these shorts are so versatile! Bonus, both pieces make you look SUPER tan (well that and Loving Tan!)
These shorts are very flattering with a 3.5 inch inseam and built in cuffs. I’m VERY picky about shorts and I have these in 2 colors, I love them that much. [shorts are NY & Co from summer 2016.]
Greatest news of all, this palm print top is UNDER $18!! It fits TTS, maybe even a little on the large side, which I feel is the norm with the F21 “Contemporary” collection.
Whoever thought to create cold shoulder tops..thank you!

Well, it’s spring time which only means one thing…time to break out my glue gun! I’m not sure why but when April hits I feel inspired to recreate what’s trending. Unless you’ve been living under a pom-pomless rock, you know that tassels, pom-poms, and fun embellishments are a MUST for spring & summer. If you scored yourself some great embellished accessories last year, you’re in luck! You can break those babies out again and be perfectly on trend.
I was on the Baublebar website last week and found the most perfect beach/pool tote covered in big ole fun pom-poms. I couldn’t even hit “add to cart” fast enough…except it was sold out. And also $80, which in hindsight means I probably would have kept it in my online cart just long enough before I finally remembered I do not need to spend $80 on a beach tote. I would though. Let’s just put that out there.. 😛So with that, the idea to break out my glue gun was born! I grabbed this super cute beach tote at Target for $29.99 and the pom-poms were $4 a bag (but I had a coupon!) The total for this DIY was about $37! (I already had the glue gun/glue).
Lay the beach tote on a flat surface and put a piece of cardboard inside the bag to keep the glue from seeping into the other side. I used all large sized pom-poms for the first 2 rows and the medium sized for the bottom row.
Once your glue gun is ready to go, the fun starts! Glue your poms in any design/pattern you wish! I chose to keep mine pretty similar to the inspo bag. After gluing, press pom-pom down firmly with two fingers for about 20-30 seconds to ensure the glue adheres.
I wish I could tell you there was more to it, but that’s it! Lay your fab new bag flat to ensure glue completely dries, remove cardboard, and head straight to the beach! I promise you’ll get LOTS of compliments and “where did you get that?”‘s.
If you make this tote, please tag me in your pics! Also, check out the “DIY” tab at the top of this page to check out more great do it yourself versions of the hottest accessory trends! (Including the sequin message hat!)
1. bomber jacket: one word for bomber jackets this season: HUGE! This one comes in 3 colors and has a great figure flattering fit. Regularly $118 but is currently 40% off!
2.over-the-knee boots: I snagged these on Thursday because it’s tough to find a great pair of OTK boots that have a flat-ish heel! I personally think in order to balance the over the top height of these, it’s best (for me) if they’re completely flat. These look SUPER high end (they look like Stuart Weitzman!) but for the remainder of LDW they’re under $53!
3.silky pleated skirts: another huge fall trend, and this color is beautiful in person! This skirt hits me a little more like a midi length than the model, but I actually prefer it! I’d wear this with a turtleneck bodysuit or a fringed crop top. It’d be perfect dressed up or down!
4.circle knit sweater: first of all, this blush shade is huge again for fall and that makes me SO happy! The oversized fit and circle knit hem would look great with skinny jeans, leather pants, or even a midi skirt, as shown on the model. This one is SO comfortable, too!
5.(faux) leather pencil skirt: another item I scooped up as soon as I saw the 40% off price point. Not much to say about a classic faux leather pencil. This one is a bit high waisted and fits like a dream! Great dressed up for work or dressed down with a graphic tee and the bomber jacket above! So versatile and classic.
6.lace sheath dress: y’all..this dress looks like it’s triple the price. Cocktail lace sheaths have been all the rage for spring & summer, but this shade takes it easily into fall and winter. This green color! I am obsessed! Better yet, the LDW sale makes this dress under $55! Get it now, trust me. You’ll find the perfect holiday party for it.
7.OTS dark floral top: off-shoulder tops are just as hot for fall as they were for summer, which is good because I’m still obsessed! This moody floral print is perfect with your suede skirts and tucked into your wide leg jeans.
8.flare jeans: I giggled as I added this to my list. I am short, and flares always look SO silly on me. One of those trends I just can’t make work on me. But on others I think this look is so good! And these are a classic wash & shape and the price on them is incredible!
9.white blazer: Do. not. be. afraid. to. wear. this. after. Labor Day. Trust me. SO CHIC.
10.faux leather biker jacket: a classic that will always be in style. Grab it at this ridiculous price point and thank me all season!
11.leopard print clutch: this one looks wayyy more pricey than it is. It’s neutral, so wear it with everything.
12. classic watch: I’ve had my eye on this watch for months and this price made me finally go for it. Nothing like a classic face with a brown leather strap. So classic.
Happy Shopping! Please let me know in the comments below if you snagged any awesome Labor Day sales!
It’s mid-August and I’m already REALLY excited for fall fashion. It’s my favorite fashion season by far, and if you follow me on instagram, you’ll see that I’ve already done some major damage where cooler weather fashion is concerned. So what if it’s still 100 degrees in Florida?!
This ombre top from American Eagle checks off a lot of trendy boxes:
-muscle tank fit
This top would be great under a long cardigan or a military jacket, too!..once the weather cooperates, of course. For now it’s great on its own. I paired mine with these merlot skinny jeans, also from American Eagle. They are part of their “sateen” line and seriously feel like pajamas! They also promise not to “bag out” as some jeggings do. They come in a rainbow of rich fall shades..I can’t wait to get more!
These brown faux suede lace ups have been on repeat all summer and fall looks to be no different. Same with my bucket bag. It literally fits everything! Oh and we NEED to discuss this lip. It’s Stila liquid lipstick in ‘patina’! I’ve heard it’s tough to find but I’m here to tell you it’s WORTH IT. So good. And it lasts a long time!
All the details of this moody transition-into-fall outfit is under the “shop my looks” tab at the top of this page!
Have you checked the trends for fall? I want to know your favorite!
Until next time!
Dress: Rustic Bow Boutique (current); jacket: Express (current); hat, shoes: Target (current); bag: Nordstrom (current)
There’s nothing I love more than turning the corner on the hot summer and seeing a glimpse of fall on the horizon! For Floridians, this usually means fall fashion arrives in stores and on covers of magazines. Hey, I’ll take whatever glimpse I can get! I love fall!
Nautical stripes are a summer wardrobe staple, and this year stripes are a big fall trend, too. The lace up detail of this dress makes it perfectly on-trend while the stripes keep it classic and chic. This dress is great on it’s own for summer (see look below), but I was so excited to layer it under my fave new denim jacket and chilly-er weather accessories that I chose to sweat myself to death for this look! 😉 *worth it!*
This dress would look great with tights and boots or under a long fisherman cardi. The fall looks are endless with this classic piece!
You can shop this dress directly through the Rustic Bow Boutique instagram here!
Hi friends! Happy Friday!
I was tempted not to add anything to the body of this post and instead upload 239482039480239 photos of this dress. I decided to compromise: do a little writing, then post about 10 pictures of this dress. THIS.DRESS.
Quick backstory: at the mall a couple of weeks ago, looking for something very specific (I never find the ‘very specific’ thing I’m looking for when I set out to find it…) Popped into H&M, scanned the store for my “very specific” item, wasn’t there, walking out of H&M, something makes me turn back around (almost completely out of the store) and I saw THIS gorgeous gal. I thought it was pants at first (one piece items don’t ever flatter me) but was so excited when I realized it was a maxi!! You guys…the detail of this dress made me assume it was at least $60 (still would have bought it, btw). IT WAS $19.99!!! I ran…RAN to the register, then waited forever because H&M is always packed. While waiting a salesperson told me if I texted my email to a number for future promos, I’d get an extra 20% off my purchase today. I’m a sucker (and have an email for only store coups!) so I did it. I walked out of that mall with this beautiful baby in a bag for under $17!!!!
I’m not exaggerating when I tell you how beautiful you feel wearing this dress. I felt like Superwoman! It’s SO flattering and so different. The slits on either side make it much less “Renaissance Fair” and much more boho chic with a subtly sexy vibe. The balloon sleeves flatter everyone, and the large print of this dress camouflages any body issues you feel you have! Sometimes I am surprised by things I see in stores I wouldn’t regularly expect, and this was most definitely one of those times. I love H&M but usually stick to it for basics or “fast fashion” pieces I don’t think I’ll wear much…but I’d sleep in this dress if I could! Truly such a home run from top to bottom, and this dress looks wayyyy more posh than its pricetag. I cannot find it online anymore (bummer!), but I was at the mall earlier today and saw some in my local H&M, so go! Run! Take these pictures with you and tell the sales girl you need this dress!
Best $20 you’ll ever spend. PROMISE.
Also, quick shout out to my husband who took these beautiful pictures early on a Sunday before we met friends for brunch. I was lacking caffeine and patience and he knocked it out of the park as usual. Thanks for always putting up with me! <3
Happy Monday, friends! The beginning of another great week is ahead of us! There’s nothing I like better than starting my week out on the right foot by wearing an outfit that I really love. It gives me a confidence boost and helps me get. things. done!
I wouldn’t wear today’s look to the office, but looking at it sure does put me in a good mood! If you’ve been following fashion trends recently, you know [pretty much] everything from the 70’s, 80’s AND 90’s is fair game again! I almost died when I saw all the platform shoes on runways and in stores right now. Cher and Dionne would be SO excited! [Always a good day when I can reference my fave movie of all time. As if!]
The great thing about interjecting pieces of what’s on-trend with classic pieces: it doesn’t feel so much like you’re wearing a costume! It’s a great way to mix personality and trend, and I find that’s what suits me best usually, as opposed to wearing a trend from head to toe.
A great example of that is today’s look: I paired the floral blouse (on trend), with a classic A-line faux suede button down skirt (classic/on trend), in a rich neutral (this green is everything), with shoes and a clutch from last spring (fringe + tassels still very on trend this season) in a classic nude shade, which instantly makes both pieces more “classic” and a little less “trendy”.
Personally I love floral prints and I’m so happy to see stores filled with them for spring and summer. I’m really excited about what’s happening in fashion right now and am so glad I have this forum with which to dish all about it!
You can shop similar pieces below, the top is still available, the rest of the items are very similar dupes!

Hi friends! Happy Monday!
I’m excited to bring you today’s post because I LOVE this 70’s trend, I love this outfit, AND I HAVE NEW HAIR!!! If you couldn’t tell, I’m very excited. 😉
Quick backstory: For those who don’t know this about me, I get bored with my hair SO easily. I used to change the color just about every time I went into the salon, but I never kept a certain color for longer than a few months. Well, until I discovered my Aveda stylist and fell in love with my current blonde “subtle ombre”! I also think keeping one cohesive hair color is more professional for my job, and blonde hair just seems to suit me best. But I’ve also had the same hairstyle FOREVER, until last Friday when my stylist Janelle suggested I jump on board the “long bob” train. At first I was completely against it, but as she continued on trimming “the bare minimum” I’d requested, I got to thinking how bored I was with my hair, and how much I admire the “lob” style on others. I asked a few other questions and then shouted “JUST DO IT!” The rest is history. I had about 6 inches (!!) cut off to reveal this awesome, asymmetrical long bob. It took a few hours until I loved it, but after about 72 hours, my hair and I are totally in love. I can’t wait to style it all different/funky/fun ways! I also think it looks so much more fashion forward and polished!
So happy I jumped out of my comfort zone on this one.
Anyway, onto this look!
The 70’s are a huge influence on this season’s hottest trends, and this look is no different! This boho blouse from Target is billowy and rather unflattering (on me) un-tucked, but tuck it into some high-waist jeans (extra bonus for some sailor-inspired button details!) and VOILA! It’s one of my favorite tops at the moment. This is proof you should try things on and think about how you actually want to wear it before saying yes or no!
These jeans from NY&Co are flattering and the most comfortable denim I own! They are my first pair of jeans from this brand (SoHo for NY &Co), but I am pleasantly surprised!
These brown faux-suede lace up flats (new from Target!) are satisfying my never ending appetite for lace up flats! I seriously can’t get enough and I’m sure you can tell. As a “flats only” girl, these shoes check off all the style boxes for me. They’re cute, versatile, comfortable, fashion forward, and flat! And at $25 I really could not resist.
The great news is, all these pieces are new & still available! I’ve linked them all below, including my Steve Madden clutch. The 70’s was all about fun colors and patterns, billowy silhouettes, and unique details. <– All of these things are swoon-worthy to me so…sign me up for more 70’s inspired looks!
So, going back to my “new me” haircut, I’d love to hear what changes you’ve made, whether big or small, to give your confidence a little boost!? What do you do for you to feel your best? What do you think of my new hair? 🙂
Hi friends! I hope you’ve all had a great weekend!
I was traveling for work this week and intended on uploading this post before today, but life gets crazy busy and often disrupts our plans. 🙂 I’m happy to be home!
This color is most often dubbed “pale mauve” in fashion world, but in my world I’d call it “if dove grey & lilac had a baby”. It’s so different than anything I have in my closet, but I’ve done some research on this color and I’m happy to say it’s all over the place for spring! I’d consider this a great “spring neutral”, and this dress is super versatile, too. It would look great with a blazer for work, or dressed down with white Chucks. I decided to give it an edgier vibe with black accessories, and I really like how it turned out! This dress is from Charlotte Russe (having a major CR moment lately and I’m not mad about it!) The pieces I’ve scored there recently are high quality with fashion-forward elements and colors. The best part is, their clothes won’t break your budget so you have more room for more expensive classic pieces! My thought about style is to invest in core pieces for your closet, but don’t overspend on trends. Although I feel like I could wear this dress for years to come!
These shoes look so much like Valentino “rockstud ballerina” flats, without the $900 price tag. I didn’t buy them because of their awesome dupe status, but the t-strap design and black on black studs look SO similar it’s crazy! These cost me $20 on sale, also at Charlotte Russe!
My quilted leather jacket is old (last year), as is my bag..which I swear could double as a weapon. It’s so heavy! Also into mixing new items and old to create looks. It’s all about adding layers of interest to your outfit to make it yours and to best reflect your personality!
Quick note about this post: I wanted to shoot this in an “industrial” setting…and this place was terrifying haha OH and I am NOT a big fan of wearing my hair up but YAY for liking it in these pictures for once!
I linked similar styles below; all my items appear sold out or unavailable online. The dress and shoes were both recent purchases, so I’d suggest visiting the store if you’re in love!
*This post is NOT sponsored in any way by Charlotte Russe*
Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope your spending the day with all those that give you heart-eyes! 🙂
Last night Paul and I went to a steakhouse in downtown Tampa, where I had THE BEST meal of my life from start to finish. I brought some home just so I could re-live it for dinner tonight, but it was incredible. We skipped dessert and in true Paul & Blair fashion headed to Krispy Kreme on our way home instead. Delicious donuts made into hearts get me every.single.time!
I posted a picture of us on social media last night and got a ton of questions and compliments on this dress! This is one of those purchases that if I was TRYING to find something like this, I’d probably never succeed. I went into Charlotte Russe a few weeks ago to pick up the tulle skirt I’m wearing in my “1 year Blog-iversary” photos (check out that post here!) I hadn’t been inside a Charlotte Russe in YEARS, and I assumed I had aged out of that store or figured nothing would fit me anyway (it wouldn’t 6 months ago). Right when I walked in I spotted this dress and it was love. I really loved the red/pink lace detail and the shape of the dress, but was unsure about the sheer mesh panel down the center. I tried it on, snapped a picture, and sent it to my husband. He immediately gave it the thumbs-up, so that was all the encouragement I needed!
The best part is, this dress was $33.00. Yup, way less than the cost of my usual Rent the Runway rental(which I probably would have done again this year but didn’t love any of the dresses for the look I was going for.) Oh and the lady at the register gave me an additional coupon for 15% so the dress was under $30. CRAZY. It is fully lined and looks more expensive in person. The sheer panel down the center is balanced well with the long sleeves and higher neckline, and gives you just a peek of cleavage that is completely evening appropriate (you should have seen the looks I got re-creating the look this morning! haha!)
