Tonight I’m talking about a few of my all time favorite things: cobalt blue, maxi dresses, and halter style necklines.
Ok so first. Obviously cobalt blue is a favorite (hockey), but this color is major this spring and summer and I love this pretty white floral print.
Furthermore, the maxi is like the spring and summer’s equivalent of the winter hoodie: you want to look your cutest without thinking too much about it. And you want to be cool and breezy. (And let’s be honest maybe wait another day to shave your legs. I can’t be the only one!)
Finally, the halter-style neckline is the most flattering for me personally. It elongates your arms for a feminine look. This dress is actually a typical spaghetti strap style but I had it altered to have the straps cross in the back so it became halter style! It’s all about finding what’s right for you.
This maxi is lined to just above the knee and sheer to the bottom, making it extra breezy. When I wore this dress it was 95 degrees in Tampa so you know it’s battle tested for the HEAT. Ugh, it’s only April…
I paired my blue maxi with this darling Steve Madden bag that I just cannot get enough of. I regularly plan looks around it and get compliments EVERYWHERE I go. It was a little bit of a splurge (as far as novelty clutches go at least) but the good news is there’s SO many fun and colorful options for spring and summer at all price points. But if you go with this blue one, you won’t be disappointed!
I was talking to a friend who says she “hates” maxi dresses and I was SO perplexed!? How can someone feel so strongly about something that’s essentially a fashion forward nightgown? Haha. I guess they’re not everyone’s cup of tea, but you’ll see me in a lot of them this season. What do y’all think? Do you love a good maxi as much as me?
I linked this look for less cobalt blue Target maxi below. Let me know what you think!
SHOP THE LOOK!
I’m really excited to share this post today because THIS DRESS! This dress.
Y’all, it’s under $30! Do you have Amazon Prime? It ships free in 2 days! You can have it before Easter!(!!!)
I saw this dress on one of my favorite bloggers and when she posted it on instagram I was actually at a hockey game (of course I was) and when I clicked the shopping link to purchase it (at the hockey game, of course) I could not believe it took me to the Amazon site! Of course I have Amazon Prime (never buy anything without checking to see if it’s on Prime first!) so it’s safe to say I “one-clicked” that baby into my cart as fast as I could!
There are several other color combinations but this one is just gorgeous for spring. And y’all the details on this dress are SO GOOD. It buttons alllll the way down, with a flattering smocked detail at the waist. You can button this dress all the way down (as I did) for a perfectly appropriate Easter dress, or unbutton it a little to show some leg! The fabric flows beautifully and the colors are so vibrant and rich. It has a cute little tassel detail at the waist also which you know I love!
In my family we always dressed up for church, and Easter was no exception. That’s carried over into being an adult for me. I fondly remember pretty floral dresses and bows in my hair.
I’m only 5’5 but this dress was the perfect length. If you’re wearing heels it may be a little short depending on how tall you are.
I can’t wait to wear this beautiful dress on Easter but might even use it as a swimsuit cover up after that! Or how cute would it be to unbutton the buttons enough to make it like a long tunic top over denim cutoffs? Swoon! I just fell in love with it all over again.
If you’re a last minute shopper and NEED something for Easter, click the link below to shop this baby asap! If you hurry you’ll have it in time for Easter with free shipping!
Go go go!
Let me know how you’d wear this, and if you love it as much as me!

There’s nothing I love more than turning the corner on the hot summer and seeing a glimpse of fall on the horizon! For Floridians, this usually means fall fashion arrives in stores and on covers of magazines. Hey, I’ll take whatever glimpse I can get! I love fall!
Nautical stripes are a summer wardrobe staple, and this year stripes are a big fall trend, too. The lace up detail of this dress makes it perfectly on-trend while the stripes keep it classic and chic. This dress is great on it’s own for summer (see look below), but I was so excited to layer it under my fave new denim jacket and chilly-er weather accessories that I chose to sweat myself to death for this look! 😉 *worth it!*
This dress would look great with tights and boots or under a long fisherman cardi. The fall looks are endless with this classic piece!
You can shop this dress directly through the Rustic Bow Boutique instagram here!
I really hope I’m not the only one LOVING any/everything off the shoulder this season! (If what’s major this month is any indication, I’m definitely not!)
But truly this is among my favorite looks I’ve ever done. I saw this gorgeous rainbow wall over Memorial Day weekend when traveling with my husband. The fashion blogger in me filed it away and knew I had to come up with an outfit that would work in front of it, and two weeks later this colorful dress walked into my life!
This dress is from The Rustic Bow Boutique, and the price point could NOT be better at $29.50!!(!!!) This online boutique carries a wide variety of pieces, from rompers to dresses to cute graphic tanks. They’re just starting out but are already making waves in the online fashion world. Check out their website at www.therusticbow.com!)

I wanted to keep the theme colorful, so I added lots of fun tassel bracelets, two necklaces, and my favorite Target beach bag (shop it here).
I decided to belt my dress (belt does not come with, but there is a tie if you choose to use that) for a more flattering-on-me silhouette, which paired perfectly with my Target faux-suede lace ups. I actually used the ‘tie’ that comes with the dress on my straw hat! 😉
My husband did an amazing job shooting this post, and I’m so happy with how these photos turned out!
If you’d like more details on my dress, you can shop it directly via instagram! I’ve linked it here!
I’d love to hear what you guys think about this look! Too much, or never enough? I love me some COLOR so I say, bring it on! 🙂
Until next time friends!
PS* This post was done one day prior to the tragedy in Orlando, but I couldn’t be prouder to post it now in front of that beautiful, prideful rainbow. Please keep those involved in your thoughts and prayers. #OrlandoUnited
Hi friends! Happy Friday!
I was tempted not to add anything to the body of this post and instead upload 239482039480239 photos of this dress. I decided to compromise: do a little writing, then post about 10 pictures of this dress. THIS.DRESS.
Quick backstory: at the mall a couple of weeks ago, looking for something very specific (I never find the ‘very specific’ thing I’m looking for when I set out to find it…) Popped into H&M, scanned the store for my “very specific” item, wasn’t there, walking out of H&M, something makes me turn back around (almost completely out of the store) and I saw THIS gorgeous gal. I thought it was pants at first (one piece items don’t ever flatter me) but was so excited when I realized it was a maxi!! You guys…the detail of this dress made me assume it was at least $60 (still would have bought it, btw). IT WAS $19.99!!! I ran…RAN to the register, then waited forever because H&M is always packed. While waiting a salesperson told me if I texted my email to a number for future promos, I’d get an extra 20% off my purchase today. I’m a sucker (and have an email for only store coups!) so I did it. I walked out of that mall with this beautiful baby in a bag for under $17!!!!
I’m not exaggerating when I tell you how beautiful you feel wearing this dress. I felt like Superwoman! It’s SO flattering and so different. The slits on either side make it much less “Renaissance Fair” and much more boho chic with a subtly sexy vibe. The balloon sleeves flatter everyone, and the large print of this dress camouflages any body issues you feel you have! Sometimes I am surprised by things I see in stores I wouldn’t regularly expect, and this was most definitely one of those times. I love H&M but usually stick to it for basics or “fast fashion” pieces I don’t think I’ll wear much…but I’d sleep in this dress if I could! Truly such a home run from top to bottom, and this dress looks wayyyy more posh than its pricetag. I cannot find it online anymore (bummer!), but I was at the mall earlier today and saw some in my local H&M, so go! Run! Take these pictures with you and tell the sales girl you need this dress!
Best $20 you’ll ever spend. PROMISE.
Also, quick shout out to my husband who took these beautiful pictures early on a Sunday before we met friends for brunch. I was lacking caffeine and patience and he knocked it out of the park as usual. Thanks for always putting up with me! <3
Helloooo! (In my best Mrs. Doubtfire voice)
It has been a week in the Driscoll household. It started with a 3 day weekend and mini road trip to visit my family and celebrate both of my nephews birthdays, and ended with the stomach bug, cancelled plans, and a whole lotta Lysol. Just when you make plans, life comes along and says NOPE! But thankfully my sweet husband has fully recovered from that nasty, nasty bug going around.
Anyway, I’m happy to be back to regularly scheduled life and talking about fashion! Spring is officially upon is in the sunshine state. Spring training is here, allergies too (haha). In all honesty it’s beautiful in Florida right now and I’m so excited about spring fashion this season!
This easy weekend look is more of a classic than a trend, but it’s so easy yet garners a ton of compliments, so that’s automatically a win/win! This t-shirt dress has a loose fit, so if you want more structure I recommend going a size down, as I did here. (I also bought this dress in solid gray at my regular size for a looser fitting silhouette.)
I paired the dress with some funky sequin Converse because I LOVE the dress and sneakers movement, and a straw Bermuda hat, which is VERY on trend for the spring and summer. This bag is reversible (!!) and I snagged it on sale for $15! I’m currently using it as a work bag, but on this day I used it at the Sarasota farmers market and it made holding lots of small things a breeze!
The great news is, ALL of these items are still available! Shop each of them in the links below. Looking to dress up this t-shirt dress for a fun weekend night out? Pair it with some ankle booties and layered necklaces!
What’s your go-to “weekend uniform”? I work in a business casual setting, where jeans and t-shirts are a definite no-no, so on weekends I love pulling out my fave denim or a cute dress with sneakers like this!

Hi friends! I hope you’ve all had a great weekend!
I was traveling for work this week and intended on uploading this post before today, but life gets crazy busy and often disrupts our plans. 🙂 I’m happy to be home!
This color is most often dubbed “pale mauve” in fashion world, but in my world I’d call it “if dove grey & lilac had a baby”. It’s so different than anything I have in my closet, but I’ve done some research on this color and I’m happy to say it’s all over the place for spring! I’d consider this a great “spring neutral”, and this dress is super versatile, too. It would look great with a blazer for work, or dressed down with white Chucks. I decided to give it an edgier vibe with black accessories, and I really like how it turned out! This dress is from Charlotte Russe (having a major CR moment lately and I’m not mad about it!) The pieces I’ve scored there recently are high quality with fashion-forward elements and colors. The best part is, their clothes won’t break your budget so you have more room for more expensive classic pieces! My thought about style is to invest in core pieces for your closet, but don’t overspend on trends. Although I feel like I could wear this dress for years to come!
These shoes look so much like Valentino “rockstud ballerina” flats, without the $900 price tag. I didn’t buy them because of their awesome dupe status, but the t-strap design and black on black studs look SO similar it’s crazy! These cost me $20 on sale, also at Charlotte Russe!
My quilted leather jacket is old (last year), as is my bag..which I swear could double as a weapon. It’s so heavy! Also into mixing new items and old to create looks. It’s all about adding layers of interest to your outfit to make it yours and to best reflect your personality!
Quick note about this post: I wanted to shoot this in an “industrial” setting…and this place was terrifying haha OH and I am NOT a big fan of wearing my hair up but YAY for liking it in these pictures for once!
I linked similar styles below; all my items appear sold out or unavailable online. The dress and shoes were both recent purchases, so I’d suggest visiting the store if you’re in love!

Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope your spending the day with all those that give you heart-eyes! 🙂
Last night Paul and I went to a steakhouse in downtown Tampa, where I had THE BEST meal of my life from start to finish. I brought some home just so I could re-live it for dinner tonight, but it was incredible. We skipped dessert and in true Paul & Blair fashion headed to Krispy Kreme on our way home instead. Delicious donuts made into hearts get me every.single.time!
I posted a picture of us on social media last night and got a ton of questions and compliments on this dress! This is one of those purchases that if I was TRYING to find something like this, I’d probably never succeed. I went into Charlotte Russe a few weeks ago to pick up the tulle skirt I’m wearing in my “1 year Blog-iversary” photos (check out that post here!) I hadn’t been inside a Charlotte Russe in YEARS, and I assumed I had aged out of that store or figured nothing would fit me anyway (it wouldn’t 6 months ago). Right when I walked in I spotted this dress and it was love. I really loved the red/pink lace detail and the shape of the dress, but was unsure about the sheer mesh panel down the center. I tried it on, snapped a picture, and sent it to my husband. He immediately gave it the thumbs-up, so that was all the encouragement I needed!
The best part is, this dress was $33.00. Yup, way less than the cost of my usual Rent the Runway rental(which I probably would have done again this year but didn’t love any of the dresses for the look I was going for.) Oh and the lady at the register gave me an additional coupon for 15% so the dress was under $30. CRAZY. It is fully lined and looks more expensive in person. The sheer panel down the center is balanced well with the long sleeves and higher neckline, and gives you just a peek of cleavage that is completely evening appropriate (you should have seen the looks I got re-creating the look this morning! haha!)
