Coming at you with a new look (that I’m obsessed with) and some more insight into my world!
But first…lace bomber jackets.
Y E S.
My friend Damara spotted this at Anthropologie Saturday and as soon as she showed it to me I knew we had to be bomber twins. So I snagged it too. And at over 70% off (!!), it was a MAJOR steal.
The allover lace detail of this bomber is more cool than stuffy, and the fit is boxy and runs larger for an easy fit over everything from a mini dress to a tank.
I opted to wear mine over more lace! This blush cami has just a peek of skin showing through the lace at the top, and has the most flattering cut. It’s another steal at under $18!
I am already thinking of more ways to wear this versatile piece all spring, but I had to start with white rips.
The “priorities” part of this post is the funny part. This shoot was done at 9:30 Sunday morning. After breakfast at my favorite Tampa spot (Oxford Exchange!) and before TWO different sporting events. In the same day. If you follow me on instagram, you already know that craziness.
If you’re reading this you probably already know how much I love sports so I was certainly not dragged to a matinee baseball game and an evening hockey game in the same day. It was actually an amazing day! But just craziness.
And today? Today I worked 10 hours at my “regular” job and about 2 at my “contracting” job, but I couldn’t stop thinking about an outfit in my head that I reeeeally wanted to bring to life. And thanks to daylight saving time, I came home, changed, went back downstairs with the hubbs and shot another outfit before dinner.
Whew! I sometimes don’t know how you ladies do it, but I’m starting to understand.
When you love something, you just make it happen. and I love this! I love my career! I love remembering me & Beyonce have the same amount of hours in each day!
Bottom line is, there’s time if you make it. God put something in my heart that I can’t and won’t ignore and I’m happy I get to devote some of my life to it! Doing the thing that you can’t sleep you’re so excited to do is just awesome.

It’s been awhile! Kicking off 2017 (in March, oops) with an update post and thought I’d throw in some things you may not know about me!
First off, my career shifted a bit about 2 months ago when my previous practice was sold to a larger group. This obviously changed a lot about my day-to-day and leading up to that things were crazy, so I’m finally feeling like I have time to catch my breath! The new role at the new practice is going great, I’m feeling super excited to come into work everyday and love the work I’m doing. God truly leads you exactly where you’re supposed to go, sometimes ready or not!
And even though I haven’t been blogging, I am feeling more inspired than ever! I feel like my style is evolving and so is my personal relationship with myself. I LIKE myself more lately and feel more open to taking risks and trying new things. And most of all, I feel like I am ENOUGH. Just the way I am!
Which brings me to the 5 “things you may not know about me” section of this post! I wanted to put things out there that have been on my heart lately. I have spent so much energy pushing these things about me that I felt made me “weird”, but now I’m proud to embrace them as me and hopefully I can inspire someone else out there to rock their individuality!
1. I was born with a genetic joint disorder that causes me to have frequent knee dislocations. I am much more susceptible to falls, fractures, injuries, etc because of this. There is no cure for it, and fortunately I have the mildest form. Read more about Ehlers Danlos Syndrome here.
2. Because of EDS, I can no longer wear anything but a flat shoe. It’s too risky to wear something like a heel when you have frequent knee dislocations!
3. I struggled with my weight a lot of my life and recently lost nearly 70 pounds on Weight Watchers. Fashion was one of my biggest motivations for losing the weight, but now I enjoy living a healthier lifestyle. All in moderation, of course. Mini doughnuts and champagne are huge weaknesses of mine! (Balance, right?)
4. I am incredibly competitive with myself. I refuse to let anything defeat me. Recently I was “denied’ by Reward Style which was really hard for me. But honestly after I had my pity party it just made me aware of things I needed to get better at and I’m using it as fuel to be better. Because even if blogging or fashion never became my career, it’s already a huge part of my life. And I truly believe I have a light to shine on others and am excited I get to do it in my spare time.
5. I am incredibly blessed! Yep, that’s it. God is awesome and works in me everyday, causing me to triumph and learn and grow. I know His plans for me are HUGE compared to mine and I see Him working in my life every single day.
I really am excited to work blogging back into my life and hopefully to be an outlet for y’all to come chat fashion and what’s going on in your lives. Fashion is a great outlet for me, an ice breaker when I meet someone new, and something I spend HOURS obsessing over, but I also want to motivate, uplift, and encourage.
I have NO idea how I’m going to melt these things together into Rose Gold Outlook, but I am going to give it my all.
Back with another gift guide for you! This one is particularly special because it was curated by my husband Paul, so you know it’s good!

6. Fun Christmas PJ’s: My husband & I have a tradition to get new Christmas PJ’s each year to wear while we decorate and on Christmas Eve. I *LOVE* This VS sleep tee that says “He sees you when you’re tweeting”! So cute.
7.Old Navy fringe scarf: I wore this in my outfit post last weekend and got tons of compliments! It’s the most perfect pink (but comes in other, more subdued shades as well.) It’s the softest fleece, and the fringe is so on-trend!
8. Ombre quilted vest: I saw this vest at Mall of America and had to PRY myself away! (It’s not exactly practical in tropical climates such as mine..but it’s still on my wish list! #slaveforfashion) The metallic ombre is SO gorgeous in person, and you could easily dress this vest up or down.
9. Statement belt: Wear it with bell-bottoms now and shorts later…and basically pass this baby down to your grandchildren, because it’s always going to be fabulous.
10. Sunday Riley “Power Couple”: this skincare line is EVERYTHING and this holiday boxed collection is a great price for 2 amazing products.
11. The cutest phone cases: Casemate makes some amazing cases for iPhones and this new “tough brilliance” collection is awesome because it combines the protection you want (so you don’t do silly things like crack your screen) with gorgeous, girly details!
12. Apple Watch Series 2: For the person you REALLY want to spoil, this timepiece does way more than tell time..and it’s high on my Christmas list!
It’s been a little bit! For the last week I’ve been up to my eyeballs in cardboard boxes and have taken no less than 10 trips to Target for “new home” supplies. You never realize how much you’re going to need when you move!
We’re (mostly) unpacked now, with a few boxes full of my clothes left to be organized/put away. I know you’re all surprised, right? 😉
Monday was also my birthday! This year felt weird since I usually love the week leading up to my birthday but this year it was spent with all the moving craziness so we kept it pretty low key. Mini donuts & margaritas! It was perfect.
This weekend the husband & I have a fancy Birthday date-night planned at a great new restaurant in town! I will be sure to post outfit deets on that 🙂
Anyway, for those of you who don’t follow me on instagram/facebook, we moved downtown and we are LOVING it. I won’t lie, it’s a pretty big adjustment from what I’m used to. But jumping outside of your comfort zone usually means it’s something worth jumping for. We’ve been here exactly a week and it’s starting to feel like home.
Now that we’re moved and (mostly) settled in, I can finally get some blog posts up on a regular basis! I swear moving took SO MUCH out of us. Well that, and my 2 jobs.. 😉
Below are two favorite looks from the last week that I wanted to give y’all the deets on in case you want them for yourself! You’ll recognize the leather skirt from my Labor Day Express picks! It’s got a high waist and I LOVE it!
And those “spice” jeggings…I can’t wait to wear them all season!
Links below each pic if you’d like to purchase! I’ll also throw some pics of our moving adventure.
Looking forward to talking to you guys again realllllly soon!
Clarisonic/GAME CHANGER: When I cleanse at night I always (ALWAYS) use my Clarisonic. I can’t express to you guys the difference this bad boy has made in my skin. I’ve been using it religiously for about 2 years now and I can’t live without it. Not only does it help with texture/dryness, but it all but eliminates blemishes and allows makeup to sit so much prettier on your face. It is definitely an investment in yourself to purchase the device and subsequent refill brushes, but it’s worth it. And don’t bother with the cheaper versions sold at drug stores. I’ve tried those, too. They simply don’t compare, and you’ll end up spending more trying to achieve results that aren’t even close to those you’ll get with the Clarisonic.
Daytime Moisture: As I mentioned, I have very dry, patchy skin with a tendency for texture around my nose/cheeks/ middle of my forehead. So when I moisturize, I want to feel MOISTURIZED. I do rotate these too, as I feel sometimes my skin “gets used” to them. Shiseido makes a great one (called “Ibuki Refining Moisturizer), and Belif Aqua Bomb is good too, but currently I’m using Fresh Youth Preserve moisturizer. I also use the Youth Preserve eye cream. They are so moisturizing, smell amazing, and you get a lot for your money.
For my lips I’ve tried it all and my absolute fave is the $2 Vaseline lip care treatment. I put a thin layer under lipstick, and douse my lips in it at night.
1. bomber jacket: one word for bomber jackets this season: HUGE! This one comes in 3 colors and has a great figure flattering fit. Regularly $118 but is currently 40% off!
2.over-the-knee boots: I snagged these on Thursday because it’s tough to find a great pair of OTK boots that have a flat-ish heel! I personally think in order to balance the over the top height of these, it’s best (for me) if they’re completely flat. These look SUPER high end (they look like Stuart Weitzman!) but for the remainder of LDW they’re under $53!
3.silky pleated skirts: another huge fall trend, and this color is beautiful in person! This skirt hits me a little more like a midi length than the model, but I actually prefer it! I’d wear this with a turtleneck bodysuit or a fringed crop top. It’d be perfect dressed up or down!
4.circle knit sweater: first of all, this blush shade is huge again for fall and that makes me SO happy! The oversized fit and circle knit hem would look great with skinny jeans, leather pants, or even a midi skirt, as shown on the model. This one is SO comfortable, too!
5.(faux) leather pencil skirt: another item I scooped up as soon as I saw the 40% off price point. Not much to say about a classic faux leather pencil. This one is a bit high waisted and fits like a dream! Great dressed up for work or dressed down with a graphic tee and the bomber jacket above! So versatile and classic.
6.lace sheath dress: y’all..this dress looks like it’s triple the price. Cocktail lace sheaths have been all the rage for spring & summer, but this shade takes it easily into fall and winter. This green color! I am obsessed! Better yet, the LDW sale makes this dress under $55! Get it now, trust me. You’ll find the perfect holiday party for it.
7.OTS dark floral top: off-shoulder tops are just as hot for fall as they were for summer, which is good because I’m still obsessed! This moody floral print is perfect with your suede skirts and tucked into your wide leg jeans.
8.flare jeans: I giggled as I added this to my list. I am short, and flares always look SO silly on me. One of those trends I just can’t make work on me. But on others I think this look is so good! And these are a classic wash & shape and the price on them is incredible!
9.white blazer: Do. not. be. afraid. to. wear. this. after. Labor Day. Trust me. SO CHIC.
10.faux leather biker jacket: a classic that will always be in style. Grab it at this ridiculous price point and thank me all season!
11.leopard print clutch: this one looks wayyy more pricey than it is. It’s neutral, so wear it with everything.
12. classic watch: I’ve had my eye on this watch for months and this price made me finally go for it. Nothing like a classic face with a brown leather strap. So classic.
Happy Shopping! Please let me know in the comments below if you snagged any awesome Labor Day sales!
Friends, if you invest in one thing this fashion season, make it a military jacket.
There is SO many things you can do with this versatile piece! Today I styled mine over a basic fit and flare dress (and the coolest kicks maybe ever!) I love this jacket with a tulle skirt (yup!), black skinnies, over a maxi dress you rocked over the summer, or even over a blouse and pencil skirt combo for a business casual work look! See what I mean now? VERSATILITY!
The accessories in this look were so fun. I love the sneakers-with-dresses look and these shoes remind me of soccer cleats a little but I LOVE THEM! I also have the all white version (see previous post) and I’m obsessed! So happy the Superstar’s made a comeback! This olive fringe bag was on major clearance at Target a few weeks ago, and I couldn’t resist. And chokers are EVERYWHERE this fall, except at my house. This is actually a headband! Haha! Work with what ya got, right?
I love the nineties looks that are so in for fall, and this one channels that vibe perfectly. I added a nude matte lip (and resting bitch face..haha!) with straight hair to complete this fall look.
Let me know what you think of this look in the comments below!
It’s mid-August and I’m already REALLY excited for fall fashion. It’s my favorite fashion season by far, and if you follow me on instagram, you’ll see that I’ve already done some major damage where cooler weather fashion is concerned. So what if it’s still 100 degrees in Florida?!
This ombre top from American Eagle checks off a lot of trendy boxes:
-muscle tank fit
This top would be great under a long cardigan or a military jacket, too!..once the weather cooperates, of course. For now it’s great on its own. I paired mine with these merlot skinny jeans, also from American Eagle. They are part of their “sateen” line and seriously feel like pajamas! They also promise not to “bag out” as some jeggings do. They come in a rainbow of rich fall shades..I can’t wait to get more!
These brown faux suede lace ups have been on repeat all summer and fall looks to be no different. Same with my bucket bag. It literally fits everything! Oh and we NEED to discuss this lip. It’s Stila liquid lipstick in ‘patina’! I’ve heard it’s tough to find but I’m here to tell you it’s WORTH IT. So good. And it lasts a long time!
All the details of this moody transition-into-fall outfit is under the “shop my looks” tab at the top of this page!
Have you checked the trends for fall? I want to know your favorite!
Until next time!
My look: tee, Adidas (sold out); shoes, Adidas (current); pants Zella (current); jacket Express (current)
This outfit started yesterday when I was scouring Nordstrom for the last time during their Anniversary Sale. I’d been eyeing the all-white Adidas Superstar’s since the pre-sale, but hadn’t pulled the trigger in time and they were consistently sold out in my size since. I asked to try on the black & white version (the all white wasn’t even on display anymore), when the salesman came out with a few boxes and said they were sold out of the black/white in my size, “but they did have…these”. “THESE” were the all white version!! It was fashion kismet, and like Cinderella they slipped onto my feet as if they were made for them, and the rest is fashion history.
Ok, it’s dramatic. But we’ve all had moments like those. And I’ll do anything to include Cinderella into a post!
I’ve had this Adidas graphic tee for a few months now. It’s gotta be one of my favorite purchases ever. It was limited edition (also from Nordstrom) which feels special, but I love the color and floral pattern so much. It’s just one of those fun pieces that gets a conversation going wherever you wear it.
These leggings are from the Nordstrom sale as well. They’re no longer available in navy but I linked to similar black ones. They’re still on sale until the end of the day! (Sunday 8/7!)
I am a BIG fan of the athleisure movement. The key to achieving this look without looking like you are wearing pajamas/should be at the gym is mixing athletic pieces with staple wardrobe pieces, like my cropped denim jacket: without it, this outfit is decidedly too casual and doesn’t really work. The definition of athleisure really is a mixture of athletic pieces with fashion that combine to be a leisurely fashion look that’s anything but relaxed. Another great athleisure look is combining a chunky sweater with pants like mine and strappy heels..if you dare;)
