As far back as I can remember, style mattered to me. When I was a kid, I remember picking my own clothes out at a very young age, and admiring my grandmother’s flashy gold blouses and how her earrings always went perfectly with each outfit. To this day, I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen my mom in the same outfit twice, and whenever possible we spend an entire day shopping. So, I guess you could say my love of fashion runs deep.
I created this blog to celebrate all women. Not just women like me, but everyone. I admire so many fashion bloggers who’ve made themselves modern fashion icons, with filters or without. As a young adult I thought I wanted to work for a fashion magazine. I realize now that what I wanted just wasn’t possible yet: I wanted to have something to call mine, and talk about what mattered to me (with a ton of fashion thrown in).
I was born with a genetic condition called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I encourage you to check their site out and learn more about what those of us with this illness go through. I consider myself a ‘warrior of EDS’ and am passionate about raising awareness. It is something that effects my every day life, yet most people would never know I have.
I’m a complete sports NUT. We have Tampa Bay Lightning season tickets, and love the Tampa Bay Rays, too. I’m not a casual/cute sports fan. I scream, shout, I get INTO it. When I’m not blogging I’m the Practice Administrator of a super busy private hearing care practice. I’m married to the sweetest, most supportive, funniest, most handsome man I could have ever asked for. If God would have let me make my perfect man, I would have created Paul.
I have a small group of real, true friends and family. I couldn’t ask for more. They are each stylish in their own way, talented and intelligent. They each inspire me in their own unique ways. I’m very blessed they love and support me.
I am so excited to do this. Cheers to women of all shapes, sizes, and styles. I hope I can be a small part of your fabulous.
